The common teaching competencies are:-
-Subject matter knowledge
-Communication skill
-Instructional skill
-Evaluation skill
-Equity
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
- To measure teaching competence of higher secondary
school teachers.
- To compare teaching competence of higher secondary
school teachers of govt. & non govt. school.
- To compare teaching competence of male & female
higher secondary school teachers.
- To compare teaching competence of higher secondary
school teachers of age more than 30 years & less than
30 years.
HYPOTHESES
- There would be no significant difference in teaching
competence of higher secondary school teachers of
govt. and non govt. schools.
- There would be no significant difference in teaching
competence of male and female in higher secondary
school teachers.
- There would be no significant difference in teaching
competence of higher secondary school teachers of age
more than 30 years and less than 30 years
SAMPLE
The sample of the present study consists of 60 higher
secondary school teachers (out of which 30 govt. & 30
non govt. school teachers 30 male & 30 female and 30
teachers over 30 years & 30 teachers below 30 years
were included). Random sampling technique was
employed.
