VERB PATTERNS

When we speak of verbs patterns or


verbal patterns we refer to the way in
which two verbs are combined to be
followed by each other.

Depending on the first verb,


the second can end in
infinitive, which is the verb
form present, or in gerund,
that is, with the ending ING ".
