AKLAN

The Beautiful
Land of Atis
BORACAY

Boracay is a small island in the central

Philippines. It's known for its resorts
and beaches. Along the west coast,
White Beach is backed by palm trees,
bars and restaurants. On the east
coast, strong winds make Bulabog
Beach a hub for water sports.
Experience
the Ati-atihan
Festival!!!!

The Ati-atihan Festival is a feast

honoring the Santo Niño. It is a
weeklong celebration culminating on
the third Sunday of January. It is one
big mardi gras where the audience
get to interact with the contingents
coming not only from within Aklan
but also from neighboring provinces.
The Bakhawan Mangrove Forest is one of the most successful
mangrove reforestation projects in all of Southeast Asia. Located along
the Aklan River in Kalibo, Aklan (the gateway to Boracay Island), the
Bakhawan Mangrove Forest offers a wide variety of outdoor, cultural,
and culinary attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy. Tickets can
be purchased on-site at the park's entrance. The Bakhawan Forest is
only a 10-minute drive from Kalibo International Airport.

Especially if like to see a

local animal rescue in
action, walk our dogs on
the nearby beach, help
clean the kennels, pet the
cats, play with the kittens,
see the happy faces at
feeding time. Our staff are
more than happy to direct
you to splendid,
undiscovered sites in the
area. For a fee we can
even take you there with
our AARRC pickup.
St. John the Baptist
Cathedral
Museo it Akean
Aklan Freedom Shrin
A tribute to Aklanon forebears, the first Katipunan
movement outside Luzon who gave their lives to the altar of
patriotism. The 19 steps adorning the monument contain
the mortal remains of the 19 Martyrs of Aklan and atop is
the effigy of Gen. Francisco Del Castillo, the leader of
Katipunan revolutionaries in Aklan.

Hinugtan Beach
Just a short boat ride away from Boracay Island
sits Hinugtan—an exclusive beach with powder-
fine white sand, towering coconut trees, and a
spectacular mountain view. There are no fancy
hotels but there are nipa huts that you can rent
for only PHP200.
Pagatpat Mangrove Park
Wrapped with a maze of
mangroves is the Pagatpat
Mangrove Park in Barangay
Panilongan, Buruanga,
Aklan. The place has
connected bamboo bridges
where you can stroll along,
and admire the trees and
fishes below.

Jawili Falls
Another one of Aklan’s many waterfalls is the
Jawili Falls, found at Brgy. Jawili in Tangalan,
Aklan, approximately 45 minutes away from
Kalibo. This waterfall is definitely one of the
most unique in the country because of its
natural pools cascading to form a gigantic
limestone staircase. Spring water pours from
one basin to another, creating a series of seven
mini waterfalls along its wake. And believe it or
not, the entrance fee here is only PHP5!
Ariel’s Point
Batason Point, or more commonly known now as
Ariel’s Point, was featured in 2014 as Boracay’s top
tourist attraction. But what people don’t know is
that it isn’t actually part of Boracay. This famous
diving spot is one of the tourist attractions that
belongs to the town of Buruanga, which is a
completely different place.
