Nuts and Bolts

• Materials provided will guide you through the school.

• Several lunches and dinners are planned at which


various members of management will speak.

• Multiple tours are planned for a “hands-on” look at


equipment and assembly.

• Dress is casual, all PPE will be provided during tours.

• Each day will start at 7:30 a.m. unless otherwise


announced.

Nuts and Bolts

• There will be homework each evening, mainly


review of modules prior to presentations.

• Pretest and Weekly exams - all test scores will be


kept strictly confidential. Course is Pass/Fail.

• Certificates to be presented during last week at last


dinner.

• School will conclude at approximately 2:00 p.m. on


last day, February 6, 2004.

Purpose and Goals of DTS

• Provide a good overview of all drilling operations, the


equipment we use, and where we work.

• Introduce operations, terminology, and mathematics


in concise and proper context.

• Provide opportunity to see the manufacture, assembly,


and QA of the tools you use in the field.

• Develop understanding of the process of purchasing


equipment, issuing contracts, and disposition of
materials.

• Participate in discussions on company expectations,


career paths, and opportunities to grow professionally.

• Chance to interact with fellow employees to build a


network to draw from in the future.

• Drilling Technician School is only one of several


required schools to be taken (Mud Lab 1, Well Control
School).

• Create foundation to establish a basis for your career


with ExxonMobil to build additional courses.
- You will learn about ExxonMobil and what we stand for,
what we will expected of you in the months and years to
come, and you will get a quick look into your immediate
future.
