Stage 1: Goal Setting

-SYNTHESIZING INFORMATION
• Adrian is a street food vendor (rice toppings and other side dishes) he was a former
clown
• His objective: his profit in being a clown is not enough to support all the necessities of his
family, so he decided to find a livelihood that would fit his capital of 10,000 pesos, and
return all the expenses within a month.
• He then began to observe that selling street foods can give him an easy return of
capital.
• He gathered information by asking street food vendors on what products are the best,
what people requires, and what are the daily sales.
• After calculating the possible earnings everyday, he then considered his physical
health.
• Adrian is 23 years old, his strength is enough to sell around the whole municipality.
• He decided to sell 6 days a week, having Sunday as his break.
– FORMULATING ALTERNATIVES

• Adrian's options are selling Fishballs and Calamares or


Burger and Fries

• Selling Fishballs and Calamares is a good option but,


there are many competitors. Selling Burger and fries gives
him the advantage of staying at one location but, that is
also a disadvantage for him.
– DECIDING ON COURSE OF ACTION

• Will there be too much competition among


sellers?

• Will it be cost-effective?

• Will the business venture be practical and


realistic?
- ESTABLISHING GOALS

• Adrian decided to sell rice toppings.


Now before he implement his decisions, he must first set
his daily target, to calculate if this will be enough for him
to return his capital within a month and reach his goals.
STAGE 2: EXECUTING THE PLAN

– ORGANIZING

• Identifying the needed tools and equipments


like steamer, LPG tank and peddling cart.
Planning which route should he go and
developing his schedule.
- COMMUNICATING
• In communicating, We will see the the ability of Adrian when it
comes to advertising his business. (ADVERTISING)

• Adrian will have to find a practical and consistent supplier who


offers fair price for his product. (BARGAINING)

• He will need to come up with an idea on how he can attract


customers effectively

• His past job will serve as on advantage for him when it comes to
advertising and entertaining the customers (MANUAL ADVERTISING)
- GUIDING

• Emergency cases cannot be avoided, such as


sudden illness or family matters. That is why Adrian
need to train another person or a proxy who has
the ability to sell and manage his business.
