with a seating nipple. Can use where tubing has hole and detect the hole depth. It is also used in wells where fluid levels keep changing frequently and make it necessary to set the pump higher or lower in the hole for more efficient production. Run in nature, gas lift and ESP completions. T h e t o o l c a n b e r u n a n d s e t r e p e a t e d l y, w i t h o u t causing damage to the packing element, even when the pump is set in deviated or directional holes. Permits the operator to select the best pump setting depth after the well is completed and tubing has been run. Eliminates pulling tubing for tubing leaks or replace faulty shoe and setting nipple. DETECTING TUBING LEAK DEPTH BY ANCHOR PUMP RIH with anchor pump Set the pump at any depth and Perform TBG test against the pump. In case of hold, add sucker rods and go down by the pump until TBG test is leak. In case of leak, retrieve sucker rods and go up by the pump until TBG test is hold. Set the pump above leakage point and start production. PUMPING RATE VS DEPTH PUMPING RATE VS DEPTH PUMP SETTING MECHANISM PUMP SETTING MECHANISM
The anchor is set by lifting up on the rods, rotating
the rod to the right till build up of torque, and then set down.
Once set, the tool is securely held in the tubing
against movement either way; there is no danger of unseating the pump during operation.
The anchor is released simply by lifting up on the
rod string.
The slips moving up then it compress the split-cone
which force the rubber element and provides tubing pump seal. FUTURE PLAN
Can recover ESP and/or Gas lift
wells to production with specific rate up to 450 BFPD or more till rig commence the work-over operation.
Can have mobile surface unit on
trailer mounted skid to be mobilized to any location that need temporary production.
Reduce the rig dependability to put
the well back on production up to 70% from sucker rod pumping system mechanisms. Vulcan SRP team
