Ang dengue ay viral, wala itong kilalang
gamot. Ang mga sintomas ng tao na may
dengue ay ang sumusunod: mataas at tuloy-
tuloy na lagnat na tumatagal ng 2-7 araw;
pananakit ng ulo, kasukasuan, kalamnan at
likod ng mata; pagkahilo, pagsusuka at
pamamaga ng lalamunan; walang ganang
kumain at pamamantal ng balat o rashes.

Kelangan maagapan agad at dalhin sa
pinakamalapit na health center o
ospital ang mga pasyenteng kinakitaan
ng mga sintomas. Ang delay
pagkaantala sa pagpapatsek-up ay

• Ang pinakamabisang pamamaraan sa
pagsugpo ng dengue ay ang 4S strategies:
Suyurin at sirain ang pinapamumugaran ng
mga lamok
Sarili ay protektahan laban sa mga lamok
Sumangguni agad sa pagamutan kapag may
sintomas ng dengue, chikungunya at zika
Suportahan ang fogging / spraying operations
kapag may banta ng outbreak

As a strategy • The “Enhanced 4S” shall constitute

the framework of actions towards
sustained reduction of mosquito

 LIFE CYCLE
-Mosquitoes live only for
28-30 days
Stages:
(7-10 days to develop)
1. Eggs – 2-3 days
2. Larvae – 4-5 days
3. Pupa – 1 day
4. Adult – 28-30 days-
Female mosquito lay eggs 3 times during
adult stage. It lays 100- 200 eggs per
laying period, 80% of which hatches
and develop into adult mosquito and
50% are female.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Municipal/City Local Government Units (M/C LGU)/ BLGU
1. Ensure the adoption and the implementation of this
Administrative Order.
2. Collaborate with the various stakeholders in the municipality or
city for implementation of this Administrative Order.
3. Implement appropriate legislation (e.g municipal/city
ordinance) to institutionalize the implementation of the
Enhanced 4S-strategy.
4. Mobilize resources for the implementation of the Enhanced 4S-
strategy.
5. Monitor and evaluate the Enhanced 4S implementation.
6. Coordinate with the DOH for needed technical assistance in the
implementation of the Enhanced-4S.
7. Regularly analyze data and submit report to the Provincial
Department of Health, Philippines
