1. Pitch – the
highness and
lowness of
sounds

is thought to be ahead of its time, i.e.
containing unique or original elements,
or unexplored fusions of different
genres.
Original Pilipino Music
(OPM)
- more commonly termed Original Pinoy Music or
Original Philippine Music or OPM for short, originally
referred only to Philippine pop songs, particularly
ballads, such as those popular after the collapse of its
predecessor, the Manila Sound, in the late 1970s, up
Pinoy Rock - is the brand of rock music produced in
the Philippines or by Filipinos. It has become as
diverse as the rock music genre itself, and bands
adopting this style are now further classified under
more specific genres or combinations of genres
like alternative rock, post-grunge, ethnic, New
Wave, pop rock, punk rock, funk, reggae, heavy
metal and ska.

is hip hop
music performed by
musicians
of Filipino descent,
both in the Philippines
and overseas,
especially by Filipino-
