Solar energy is radiated in the form of light
waves, which passes through the earth’s
atmosphere & reaches the earth’s surface.
Most of the energy is absorbed by the earth,
which keeps the earth warm. Some energy
is radiated back into the space by the earth
in the form of infrared waves. Some of these
outgoing infrared waves are trapped by the
earth’s atmosphere, which keeps the
earth’s temperature balanced, comfortable
& feasible for living. But due to pollution the
layer of atmosphere is becoming thick
which does not allow the infrared waves to
escape into the space. Due to which
temperature of the earth’s atmosphere
increases more & more. This is main reason
of global warming.
 WAYS TO REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING
 Afforestation.
 Population control.
 Avoid use of polythene bags.
 Conservation of natural resources.
 Proper segregation & disposal of domestic
waste.
 Control pollution (Air, Water & Noise).
 Healthcare program implementation.
 Proper maintenance of drainage & sewage
system.
 Avoid formation of stagnant dirty water
lagoons.
 Use of efficient electricity appliances.
 Use of high mileage transportation system.
 Maintain transport efficiency.
 Use of renewable technology (e.g. solar &
wind energy).
 Conduct Awareness Programmes.
 Reuse & recycle.
 Each & everyone to be self initiative to
ensure that environmental objectives are
fulfilled.
 Environmental Protection not limited to only
fulfill to “Law & Regulation” requirements.
 Use of high mileage transportation system.
 Use of efficient electricity appliances.
 Maintain transport efficiency.
 Use of renewable technology (e.g.
solar & wind energy).
