THE NEW MILENIUM

ACTIVITIES
1.what innovate projects are being carried out in the field of electronic?,¿what are the
benefis?,¿what changes do you notice respect to the last millenium tecnology?
2.research about different aspects of the new milenium in ours
lives(cultural,academic,miliytary,tv,cinema,music,sport,etc
3.talking and prepare material about the most important moment of your life.
NEW ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY

 Graphene: is a derivative of graphite, has a high conductivity, is flexible and low cost. Its use is to
touch screens, solar panels and cell phones.
 Nursing robots: these can perform blood tests, measure pressure, fever and assist patients.
 Intelligent vehicles: adding Internet among the comforts of the car means that the occupants of the
car will have access to the state of the roads and other very useful information such as finding
alternative roads in addition to being able to access videos, music, etc.
 3D cell phones: You can change images in two dimensions to 3 dimensions without having special
glasses. * Interactive signs: they are composed of tactile and interactive LCD screens that provide
more information about the product being advertised.
OTHERS ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY

 Wireless sensor networks: initially they will be used to measure traffic status,
detect seismic activity and military movements. They are computer networks that
process and broadcast information in just seconds.
 LED TV: these screens achieve 30% energy savings compared to traditional LCDs.
They also have other ecological characteristics, such as that they do not produce
toxic waste and that no polluting materials are used for their manufacture. *
Photovoltaic components: these solar cells allow to significantly improve the
possibility of converting sunlight into electricity.
 * Ubicomp or ubiquitous computing: it is the integration of computer science into
human life, so that computers are no longer perceived as a different object.
Through this technology people can interact with these devices very naturally by
giving orders only with their voice. * Cybernetic implants: these are medical devices
that can store data on the patient's health status as well as control their vital signs.
IMPACT OF THE CHANGES OF THE
NEW MILLENNIUM
 IMPACT ON SOCIETY:
-At a social level, telecommunications have transformed society into an
information society.
 IMPACT ON EDUCATION:
-Distance education has a more relevant role than traditional education,
thanks to the impact of telecommunications
 IMPACT ON CULTURE
With the competition and advances of smartphones, we can connect to
social networks, make and correct Office documents, check email, use the
Internet, and many applications for various operating systems (iOS,
Android, Symbian, Windows phone 7, WebOS ).
Newspapers and digital magazines are very common and for several years
Other imapcts of technology
 MILITARY IMPACT:
the evolution of communications technology, was decisive in the period of the
Cold War, imposed a new starting point for development
 IMPACT ON THE CINEMA:
Cinema has evolved with technological innovation and, to this day, there is a
symbiosis such that there has even been a "cannibalization" between both
terms.Avatar, the highest grossing film in history, is not a normal movie that
follows the classic schemes and has gone unnoticed. It is a revolutionary film that
reaches 120 frames per second at a 4K resolution, managing to leave the viewer
mute
 IMPACT ON SPORT:
The future of wearable technologies looks promising and wearable products of
the future are expected to be similar to Hexoskin, a shirt with sensors woven in
the same fabric to measure the breath, steps and calories burned
