• Kevin Lynch define:

“urban design”, which he considered to be project-based and
limited to the primarily aesthetic arrangement of buildings and
spaces;
Urban Design addresses the character and quality of the built
environment in relation to the human scale.

linkages.

dimension and character as well as
the size, scale, and character of the
buildings that line them.
• The pattern of the street network is
part of what defines a city and what
makes each city unique.

• Well-connected pedestrian networks to allow people to move easily and
comfortably within the city, and facilitate the use of public
transportation.
• It connects open spaces, points of interest and parks, and can be at
different levels, allowing you to appreciate the city from different
perspectives.
 LOCATION OF STREET

 Street is a major commercial street in the neighbourhood of Rahul Nagar, located in Bhopal. The street
houses several commercial establishments. It has often been referred to as the most crowded street in
Bhopal during the market day.
 The Street is one the best options to shop around to purchase comparatively cheap household goods, vessels
and hotels.
 On the street can be found many commercial establishments ranging from street hawkers selling to big
stores selling . Many vegetable vendors also sell their wares on Street.
