PROBLEM STATEMENT

• Patients has to consult the doctor directly

• Normal open surgery with large incisions
• It is a time consuming process
• It may affect the patient health

SOLUTION

• We will use MIS (Minimally Invasive

Surgery) with small incisions
• Makes use of client server architecture
• Based on www based simulation,
segmentation

Image acquisition
The scan is done using a high resolution
sequence to acquire a contiguous volume
of the slices are transferred via a network
from the scanner to the PACS (picture
archiving and communication system)
system by using the DICOM .

SEGMENTATION

• It is the process of partitioning the digital

image into multiple segments such as pixels
and semi pixels
• Assign label to every pixel. the pixels with
same label have similar characteristics

In order to combine operator knowledge with
computer aid, we chose to implement a semi
automatic segmentation method called
livewire.

REGISTRATION

The term registration is used to mean the

determination of a transformation from one space to
another When the transformation has been
determined we say that images are registered.

RENDERING AND DISPLAY:

For the display we use VRML model VRML

stands for Virtual Reality Modeling Language. The
basic idea behind using VRML format is that the
content can be downloaded from the server

• Interaction of the surgeon with the displayed

information with the ability to plan simulate
and practice complex surgeries from any place
connected to the internet

CONCLUSION:

With www-based simulation not only the

patients but also students are also getting
benefits by communicating with the
practitioners . This is a cost reducing method.
