2.2.3 Data Storage Server (DSS)
History Data Storage as processes
the data for the
daily / monthly / yearly report and
historical trend.
Major features
Max. 4 million records (trend data)
Daily report (for 1 year)
Monthly report (for 10 years)
Yearly report (for 10 years)
Battery back up
Upon power failure, power is supplied until
the successful completion of shutdown.

Page 27
2 Specifications and Functions
2.2.4 System Core Server (SCS)
Manages Direct Digital Controller (DDC) such as Infilex series
controllers and the Paramatrix Chiller Plant Controller in integration.
Since SCS is a self-sustaining device, it will continue the operation,
even if the other devices of the system are down.
Backs up the collected data for a maximum of 72 hours by
built-in battery during power failure.
Major features
Max. 1,000 data points
Data collection
•One-minute cycle data for up to 48 hours
•Runtime and cycle count data for start/stop and status points
Control functions
•Time program •Event program
•Duty cycle control •Optimum start/stop control
•Power Demand Control
Page 28
2 Specifications and Functions
2.2.5 BACnet
Communicates with Fire Alarm System,
Chiller System and Lighting system using BACnet IP.
BACnet IP can process multiple object data at high speed
because Ethernet is used as a physical layer of BACnet IP.
SMS, DSS and SCS can support BACnet IP
without additional hardware.
If a sub system cannot support BACnet IP,
a gateway is necessary additionally.

Page 29
2 Specifications and Functions
2.2.6 OPC Server
Acts as a gateway to connect BACnet IP and OPC.
Allows the monitoring of analog inputs, analog outputs,
binary inputs and binary outputs and operation of analog
outputs and binary outputs of BMS by the application of IBMS.
Max. 10,000 objects / server
If OPC Server has any communication trouble on BACnet IP,
the system notifies operators that the data is not reliable
using the quality flag of OPC.
The OPC Server is composed
of a PC and software
installed.

Page 30
2 Specifications and Functions
2.2.7 Modbus Interface
For integration of power meters
Modbus
Just read out energy data [kwh] from I/F
power meters without extra hardwiring
and totalizer.
Reduce hardwired I/O and further Modbus
engineering on totalizing it.
