• Values and ethics are central to any organization
• Values can be defined as those things that are important to or
valued by someone. That someone can be an individual or ,
collectively, an organization .
• Values are the embodiment of what an organization stands for,
and should be the basis for the behaviors of its members.
• values provides basis for judgments about what is important for
the organization to succeed in its core business.
TO BEHAVE ETHICALLY IS TO BEHAVE IN A MANNER THAT IS
CONSISTENT WITH WHAT IS GENERALLY CONSIDERED TO BE RIGHT
OR MORAL .ETHICAL BEHAVIER IS THE BEDROCK OF MUTUAL TRUST..

So how do values relates to ethics ,and what do we mean


by ethics ?
• Individually or organizationally, values determine what is right
and what is wrong, and doing what is right or wrong is what we
mean by ethics.
• To behave ethically is to behave in a manner consistent with
what is right or normal.
• Organizations, to some extent, define what is right or wrong for
the members of organization.
• The decisions we make are a reflection of our values and
beliefs, and they are always directed towards a specific
purpose.
• Organizational values include how your organization shows up
and operates in the world. They include: Financial growth,
teamwork, productivity and strategic alliances.
• If ethics deals with the choices (the mlorality of right vs wrong)
that individuals make in their personal and professional lives,

Organisational ethics is the application of these morality


related choices as influenced and guided by values, standards,
rules, principals, and strategies associated with organizational
activities and business situations
