Scarborough, Ontario, Canada) is a rapist
and serial killer convicted of Canadian
nationality, known for the crimes he
committed along with his wife Karla
Homolka
• As a teenager, Paul was always a
handsome and handsome young man,
blond, tall and well-behaved, he was the
man who "melted" women.
• Bernardo committed multiple sexual assaults, escalating in violence,
in and around Scarborough, Ontario.
• May 4, 1987, Bernardo committed his first violation in Scarborough: a
21-year-old woman, in front of her parents' house.
• May 14, 1987, Bernardo committed his second violation. He attacked
a 19-year-old woman in the backyard of her parents' house.
• July 27, 1987, Bernardo attempted to commit his third violation.
Although he hit the young woman, he abandoned the attack after she
defended herself.
• December 16, 1987, Bernardo committed his third violation: a 15 year
old girl.
• December 23, 1987, Bernardo committed his fourth violation. During
this attack, he raped a 17-year-old girl. It was this violation that
engendered the term 'Scarborough Violator'.
• April 18, 1988, Bernardo attacked a 17-year-old girl.
• May 30, 1988, Bernardo committed his sixth violation, this time in
Clarkson, against an 18-year-old girl.
• Paul Bernardo was tried for the deaths of Mahaffy and French in 1995 and the
trial included statements by Karla herself against him and samples of the
videos in which Paul raped the victims.
• Karla Homolka received a reduced sentence in exchange for her full statement
against her ex-husband. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
KEITH HUNTER JESPERSON

• Keith Hunter Jesperson (born April 6, 1955) is a

Canadian serial killer known as the "Happy Face
Killer" for the smiling faces he drew in his letters to
the media and prosecutors. He had a violent and
turbulent childhood by virtue of a dominant and
alcoholic father.
• Jesperson graduated from high school, got a job as a
truck driver, got married, and had three children. In
1990, after 15 years of marriage, Jesperson divorced.
• In 1990, Jesperson began to murder. Jesperson
is known to kill eight women in the course of
five years. Strangulation was his preferred
method, the same method he used to kill
animals as a child.
• Many of his victims were prostitutes and
people with no connection to him; However,
his last victim was his longtime girlfriend.
• Although Jesperson at one point said he had
killed 160 victims, only eight women killed in
California, Florida, Nebraska, Oregon,
Washington and Wyoming have been
confirmed. He is serving three consecutive life
sentences at the Oregon State Penitentiary in
Salemn.
