HISTORY
• 29 October,08: Telenor announced to enter the Indian
mobile market through the acquisition of Uninor , and the
launch of Uninor’s services . Telenor Group finalized the
transaction with Unitech Group and made the first
investment into Uninor on 20 March 2009.
• 11 February 2009: Unitech Wireless signs tower sharing
agreements with Tata Teleservices' tower company and
Quippo Telecom Infrastructure Limited.
• 23 September 2009: New name Uninor is announced.
• 3 December 2009: Uninor launched services in 7 circles in
India with a footprint covering close to 600 million people.
• CurentlyTelenor holds 49 per cent stake of Uninor.
