How it all
began
 Popular Science was founded
in 1872 and previously known
as Popular Science Monthly.
 This magazine is science and
technology-based.
 The font of the title has
altered, lower case letters are
no longer used, the date of
publication is now displayed
differently, and the cost is not
shown on the cover of the
magazine.
 The masthead suggest the true purpose of the
magazine which is to inform the consumer of the
advances in science which is shaping our lives
today.
FONT

 The font of this magazine is a modern


font.

 The logo uses a bold and thick font

 This magazine uses all capital letters.


 This magazine uses soft tone colors.

 A bright, white masthead.

 The spigot has a darker shade along


with a stronger blue on the top part.​
 The darker to lighter shade of
sand falling out.
PICTURE PACKAGE

 Only one image is displayed on the front


cover to highlight its importance in the
magazine.

 The open spigot is allowing sand to fall out


emphasizing that the main topic of this

occurring daily around the globe.
