Background
A panic alarm is an electronic device designed to
assist in alerting somebody in emergency
situations where a threat to persons or property
exists

Difference on Procedure
Fire Alarm Procedure – When sound/active, all personnel need to
evacuate / escape out of the area to nearest muster point or designated
area.
Panic Button Procedure - When sound / active all personnel need to
stay inside the building, hide and lock/blocked all the door.
Case Example :
Florida shooting suspect set off fire alarm – 'and there the carnage began’

A Security lockdown procedure is implemented when there is serious security risk (e.g., violent or armed intruder) to one or more PTMI
office building.
You will be notified of a Security building lockdown procedure through one or more of the following:
High – low tone building alarm
Red light
Inactive Electronic access door in all area.
