Witch
Maria's simple life
with her biological
family in Romblon.
The Sultan in Iligan
raided their town
and they scattered,
others went up the
hill to hide.
Maria Cristina wa
captured as his
father had a fight
with the invaders.
The Sultan was
captivated by her
beauty so he decided
to adopt her and
treat her like his own.
Cristina grown up
to a beautiful lady,
many try to win
her heart.
There was this noble
man, a son of
another sultan who
was able to captures
her heart.
The man decided to ask
his hands and she
willingly accept it. They
happilly planned their
future at thier favorite
spot which is the creek.
There comes an envious
witch with Maria Cristina
and her fate. She vowed
their wedding would not
happen.
Few nights before
the wedding,
Cristina rembered
her mother and
wishes to see her.
 "I loved him before he even
came to know you.He's mine
and your wedding will never
happen."

As she was crying

in the creek, an
ugly maiden
suddenly
appeared.
 "You will never have
the man I love. You
just took him away
from me. You are
going to turn into a
mountain before your
wedding day! And
your tears will flow to
the town, heading to
the sea."

The witch cursed

her.
During her wedding
day, the people waited
for Cristina, no Cristina
came, instead they
saw somwthing.
People saw a waterfalls
flows from the top of the
mountain as if it was
tears, flows to the town
and forms a river that
appeared suddenly.
 "See that
falls? That's
Maria
Cristina. So
you don't
have to look
for her. Her
tears would
flow to the
town, and
form a river
The witch to Iligan City."
suddenly
appeared to the
group of people.
The witch
disappears and
they named the
fall after Maria
Cristina.
