ACTIVITY:
“Eggs-perimenting” Fun
Form 2 groups
Each group has 3
members
NAME YOUR GROUP
MATERIALS (per triad)

• 2 Large clear glass/cups


• Tap water (12 oz. water)
• Two raw eggs
• A pack of cooking salt
• Spoon
PROCEDURE:
1.) Fill the two containers with tap water.

2. Add about 6 tablespoons of cooking
salt in one container and stir it well with a
tablespoon until the salt has completely
dissolved in the water.

3. Place one egg in each of the containers
and observe which one of the eggs float in
the container and which one sinks.
ANALYSIS:
• Small group discussion
Guide questions:

• (1) Why does the egg float in one


cup, but not in the other?
• (2) Where do humans easily float, in
ocean or in the swimming pool?
