INTRODUCTION

 Ability to interact with the world (speech, vision,

motion, manipulation).
 Ability to model the world and to reason about it.

 Ability to learn and to adapt.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF AI

 1943: McCulloch and Pitts propose a model of

artificial neurons
 1956 Minsky and Edmonds build first neural
network computer, the SNARC

 Healthcare

 Education

 Public Safety and Security

 Employement and Workplace

THE DARTMOUTH CONFERENCE (1956)

 John McCarthy organizes a two-month workshop

for researchers interested in neural networks and
the study of intelligence
 Agreement to adopt a new name for this field of
study: Artificial Intelligence
COOL PROJECTS UNDER AI

 Humanoid robots

 Entertainment robots

 Vacuum cleaner robots: “Roomba

 Face Recognition

 Visual Tracking System

PROBLEMS FACED

 Lack of Computer Power

 Lack Of People Power

 Building Trust

 One Track Mind

…..CONTINUED
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

 Differentiating between correlation and casuality.

 Having a global government body.
 Adapting to new change.
CONCLUSION
It seems that we are standing at the point on the timeline
where it is really difficult to foresee the future of
humanity in the context of Artificial Intelligence.
However, the important fact here is that the kind of
change we are embracing must bring a positive
outcome for the welfare of society and eventually of
humanity. Artificial intelligence is the kind of change
which we certainly should not take for granted.
