Oxygen-Carbon Dioxide

Cycle
organisms that produce oxygen
• What are other organisms that can
produce oxygen?
• These organisms can produce oxygen
through the process of photosynthesis
which you have learned when you were
in elementary.
Oxygen or Carbon Dioxide?

• Say oxygen if the

organism produces
oxygen and say
carbon dioxide if
the organism
produces carbon
dioxide.
Oxygen or carbon dioxide?
Watch the video clip then answer
the guide questions
• Guide Questions:

• 1. What gas do plants produce that

animals use?
• 2. What gas do animal produce that
animals use?
Activity 1 Arrange Me
• Objective:
• After performing the activity, you should be able to:
• Identify the different organisms, gases and processes involved in
the Oxygen-Carbon Dioxide Cycle
• Arrange the different processes involved in the Oxygen-Carbon
Dioxide Cycle
• Materials:
• Manila paper, Marker, Meta cards
• Procedure:
• Arrange the different organisms, gases and processes. You may
paste it on to the manila paper.
• After completing the cycle answer the following questions:
• Q1. What is the role of plants in the cycle?
• Q2. What is the role of animals in the cycle?

• Are plants and animals important?
• If yes, why?
• Are you ready to present your
output?
• I need a volunteer!
The Oxygen-Carbon Dioxide Cycle is
interconnected and involves major processes.
1. Photosynthesis
2. Respiration
I
Photosynthesis- during this process,
plants take in carbon dioxide and give off
oxygen as a by product and will be used
by animals and human during respiration.
Respiration- during this this process,
animals and human breath in oxygen and
breath out carbon dioxide which will be
used by plants during photosynthesis.
