NANOMATERIALS

DEFINITION
Nanomaterials are materials with more
morphological properties smaller than a
micrometer in at least one dimensión,
they have structural characteristics that
makes at least one of its dimensions is in
the range 1 to 100 nm. This means that
there may be 1D, 2D and 3D
nanomaterials depending on the
dimensions in that such interval is met
(or they are nanometric, as they are
called).
CLASIFICATION
The nanomaterials can be subdivided into:
nanoparticles, nanocaps and
nanocomposites
• The nanomaterials approach is a
bottom-up approach to structures and
functional effects so that the construction
of material blocks are designed and
assembled in a controlled manner. three
basic categories of nanomaterials from
the commercial and development point of
view: metal oxides, nano-clays and carbon
nanotubes. The ones that have advanced
the most from the commercial point of
view are the metal oxide nanoparticles.

NANOTECHNOLOGY

■ The word "nanotechnology" is used

extensively to define the sciences and
techniques that apply to a nanoscale level,
this is some measures that allow the
molecular structures and their atoms to work
and manipulate. That is, it would lead us to
the possibility of manufacturing materials
and machines from the rearrangement of
atoms and molecules. When matter is
manipulated on such a tiny scale of atoms
and molecules, it demonstrates completely
new phenomena and properties. Therefore,
scientists use nanotechnology to create new
and inexpensive materials, devices and
systems with unique properties
