Aspects that influenced our current reality

World War I occurred in 1914 as a trigger for the
murder of the Austrian-Hungarian archduke,
Francisco Fernando, in Sarajevo, Serbia, on June 28,
1914.
It lasted 4 years and ended in 1918 on November 11.
World War I faced two blocks of countries:

Triple Entente Tripe Alianza

• Francia • Imperio alemán

• Inglaterra • Imperio
• Rusia austrohúngaro
• Italia
The United States enters World War I
and this ends because President
Wilson decided to get out of neutrality
Aspects that influenced our
current reality
• The emancipation of women, they worked as munitions, farmers, male
school teachers, postal mail, etc. In replacement of the men who were in
the war.
• I encourage the disappearance of empires: the Russian Empire, the
Austro-Hungarian Empire, the German Empire and the Ottoman Empire.
• New countries appeared
• Boosted the economic progress and prosperity achieved by some of
the winning nations in the war.
• The United States was the biggest beneficiary, as it became the first
world power.
• In Latin America it triggered a financial crisis, except in countries that
supplied raw materials to the conflict like Chile.
As it was observed, several of
these events created what our
society is today.
