What is FISH?

Fish
Are aquatic animals that breathe through their gills.
They have skeletons made of either bones or cartilage.
 Fish that have a swim bladder.A gas- filled sac that allows them to rise or sink
in the water are classified as bony fish.
o Examples of bony fish
 Milkfish
 Tilapia
 Mudfish
 Catfish
Sharks and stingrays which are classified as
cartilaginous fish, must swim to keep afloat.
This type of fish has spindle-shape bodies and tail
fins that are used in swimming.
Such fish are generally covered with scales and are called
blooded, which means that their body temperature changes
and becomes the same as the temperature around them.
Fishes that are sources of food

 Milkfish
 Tilapia
 Mudfish
 Catfish
 Salmon
Fishes that are sources of oil

 Sharks
 Codfish
 Fishes that are rich in vitamins a and d.
Certain fish with attractive colors and shapes are
kept in an aquarium as pets
