provide adequate social services and
an improved quality of life for all. For
this purpose, the State shall adopt an
integrated and comprehensive
approach towards health development
giving priority to elderly among others.

White represents the simplicity of the structures in both their form and function. White
also comes with starkness or sterility about it, which is often used to convey a minimalist
aesthetic and clean. Tint and Shade brown nature inspired it represents a feeling of
wholesomeness and orderliness. It is simple, strong and durable .The brown communicates
the earthiness of the base materials. Tone yellow, it is the most visible colour from distance
and communicates cheerfulness, friendliness, joy and energy. It can also be associated with
mental clarity and intellect.

THE TROPICAL CLIMATE

The tropics lie along the equator, between 23

degrees and -23 degrees latitude and can be
distinguished by hot humid conditions. Mean annual
temperatures reach a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius
during the day and 24 degrees Celsius at night,
however, diurnal ranges tend to be low, ranging
approximately 8 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels vary
between 60%-100% and a tropical climate is
accompanied with a high levels of rain fall, during
"rainy periods" where annual mean rainfall can exceed
1000mm. Monsoons, hurricanes and earthquakes are
also typical in a tropical environment
The main stresses of this climate are high humidity
levels, temperatures and solar radiation. Humidity reduces
cooling via evaporation as the air is already saturated, so by
ventilating a space, the saturated air is removed, increasing
the rate of evaporation and convection that dissipates heat
from the body, building structure and fabric. solar shading is
also an efficient means of keeping cool however, due to the
limited nature of this proposal, ventilation is the focus of this
proposal.
