    Objectives
    • To understand the depositional history of area in and around Muth village
    • To decipher the chronological relationship of the geological events

    Methodology
    • Area was mapped by the method of Traversing
    • Attitude od the beds was measured using brunton compass
    • A detailed geological map was prepared using ‘Surfer’ software

    INTERPRETATION
    • Two litho-groups can be identified.
    • Group 1 being older group consisting of sandstone, sandy limestone, shale,
    limestone, black shale. Group 2, younger one, consisting of shaly limestone, black
    shale, sandy limestone.
    • Two lithogroups separated by an unconformity.
    • Intrusion of dike

    • What type of unconformity is present in the area ?
    • When was the dike intruded ?
