GOOD

AFTERNOON!!!
PRE - TEST
Activity:

PLOT THE
POINTS
In our previous study of statistics, we
dealt with data which involve a single
variable. These are called the
univariate data.
In this lesson we will learn how to
describe bivariate data.

ANALYSES
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, you must be able to:
- construct a scatter plot.
SCATTER PLOT – it shows how each
point collected from a set of bivariate
data are scattered on the Cartesian
Plane. It gives a good visual picture of
the two variables which helps in finding
the relationship that exists between the
two variables.
A scatterplot is a graphical representation
of the relationship between two variables
Example:
1. Plot the given points corresponding to the
bivariate data:
Vehicle Rim Size, Maximun Speed
(inches, x-axis) (kph, y-axis)
1 9 60
2 10 70
3 14 100
4 17 120
5 18 150

Group Activity:

Construct a

Scatterplot
Instruction:
• Group yourselves according to where do you belong.

• Each group will be given a task to perform.

• You will be given only 10 minutes to work on
your group.
• After 10 minutes, each group must post their output
on the board and a yell of the group will be
observed before the presentation of outputs.
• Two representative of each group must present
their outputs and explain.
• Team Giants will be the first to present, to be followed
by Team Food Lover, and Team Shapes.
