Strengths and Limitations
Objectives:
At the end of this module, learners will be able to
1. explain that knowing themselves can make persons accept
their strengths and limitations and deal with others better.
2. Share their unique characteristics, habits and experiences
3. Start and maintain a journal
Activity: Self-Concept Inventory

0 = very weak
1 = weak
2 = somewhat weak or somewhat strong
3 = strong
4 = very strong
Look at the results of your self concept inventory.
1. In what areas do you consider yourself strong (with score 14-160)
or somewhat weak (score of 10-13) and very weak (below 10)?
2. Are there qualities you consider as your weakness but other people
consider as your strength? What are these?
3. Give at least 3 things you can do in order to improve yourself.
Ideal self
- is the self that you aspire to be
- image that we have developed over time, based on what you
have learned and experienced

Actual self
- is the one you actually see
- the self that has characteristics that you were nurtured or born
to have
Self-concept
- refers to your awareness of yourself

Incongruence
- lack of alignment between ideal self and actual self that will
result to mental distress or anxiety
Assignment:
Prepare for a talent or variety show by group.

teamwork – 4pts
audience impact – 4 pts

1. Compute for the average rating of your group and record.


2. Write your experiences as a leader or group member in
this activity.
I have my ethics and morals. I have my anchor point of
what is right and wrong in real life, but I'm not afraid to
entertain any and every aspect of personality in
relationship to creating a character.
