GUIDING QUESTIONS

 This modality begins in the era of the Second World War, with the
Manhattan projects in 1950.
 Its purpose is to solve a specific problem and in common.
 Irvin Yalom – Group Therapy.
CHARACTERISTICS

 They respond to a specific problem and in common.


 Participants must adhere to the rules of the group.
 Obtaining group objectives.
 Confidentiality.
 The participants are not obliged to speak, this will occur naturally.
TYPOLOGY

 Authoritarian Focus : One person leads the group, making decisions


about how to resolve a situation.
 Focus of power centered on the group: Responsibility is distributed
in the group, maintaining the commitment and loyalty of each
member. Influence. "If you help me, I'll help you when you need it".
 Focusing on participation: Distribute responsibility in the group and
search for commitment and decision. Creativity, problem solving
and group decisions.
 "Solitary" Focus: Each member of the group decides for himself
what he will do.
