1980’s
They write a program that displays grayscale
images on a black and white monitor using
MAC computer.
The program was called Display then later
named it Photoshop.
About 200 copies were sold during their first
release

Adobe Photoshop is pixel based graphics
that can handle most bitmap file formats.
It includes:
JPEG – Joint Photographic Experts Group
GIF – Graphics Interchange Format
TIFF – Tagged Image File Format
PNG – Portable Network Graphics

Is a specific collection of the interface
settings or configurations.
Adobe Photoshop CS5 comes with built-in
set of workspaces
These workspaces can be accessed
through the workspace switcher.
The default workspace is the Essentials
workspace.

PANELS
Panels are mini workspaces or windows
that provides access to specific features
and resources in Photoshop.
They can appear in groups that can be
expanded or collapsed.
They can also appear as icons.

TASK TECHNIQUES
Display thePANELS - In the panel group, click the panel tab or panel icon
- Click the Window menu and select the name of the panel
Panel from the list.
MOVE A PANEL - In a panel group, drag the panel to the left or right
- Drag the panel to another group
- Drag the panel outside the panel group and drop it on an
empty area on the interface.
Expand / Collapse a Panel
- Click the expand/collapse panel
Close a panel
- Right click on the panel tab and select Close from the
context Menu
Display the panel menu - Click the panel menu button
Minimize/Restore a panel - Double-click on the panel tab
TO SAVE A WORKSPACE:
1.Click the Windows > Workspace > New
Workspace command. This will open the
New Workspace dialog.
2.On the New Workspace dialog, type the
name of the workspace.
3.Click Save when done.
TO LOAD A WORKSPACE:
1.Click the Windows > Workspace
command and select the workspace
that you have created from the list.
2.On the Workspace Switcher, click on
the name of the workspace.
