Jules Adrian Dela Peña enjoyed drawing from a young age and found it a way to bring their imaginations to life. Drawing became a hobby for them in high school as they filled their notebooks with sketches. They joined their school art club and entered a poster making contest for fun. While they did not win, representing their school was a great experience. They also tried sculpting but found it challenging as an inexperienced artist. Doodling under the influence of friends was relaxing because mistakes did not matter. Later, they discovered digital art through YouTube videos and tried using phone apps like Adobe Draw and MediBang Paint, since their laptop could not run Photoshop.

As a child, I was always wanted to bring my imaginations to life and drawing makes it possible. Drawing is a form of visual art in which a person uses various drawing instruments to mark paper or another two-dimensional medium. Drawing became a hobby for me. With the help of those boring subjects in my high school days, all of my notebooks back part were covered in scribbles and sketches. For me, I draw just for fun. I joined the art club at my school. I entered a poster making contest in our school with my friends for fun and for being excused from our classes. That day art became my escape from reality and problems. I was chosen to represent our school for a contest in poster making. I felt the pressure of representing our school. I didn't win but it was a great experience for me. I tried sculpting for our contemporary arts subject. Sculpting is the art of creating objects by shaping materials. This shaping can be carving, where material is removed from an object like marble to reveal form, or modeling, where the artist creates form by adding materials, such as clay. Sculpting was hard for an inexperienced person like me it was a challenge. I tried to research for sculpting tools and materials. Lacking in sources, I ended up using terracotta clay. I was hooked in doodling with the influence of my friends, In doodling your mistakes doesn't matter because you can make it into something new unlike other types of drawing where it should be precise. I discovered digital art on YouTube. After watching time-lapse videos of drawing I became interested. Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as part of the creative or presentation process. That time my laptop can't run photoshop so I tried using my phone. I tried different applications and ended up with Adobe Draw and MediBang Paint. This is an unfinished work because now I rarely draw and only when I have time for it. GRAFFITI
