The method of Gelosia is use in
the application of multiplication.
There are two application that
used it is multiplication and
addition.
Gelosia Method

 This was brought over as a method

Gelosia means LATTICE from to

Lattice Method- is an
alternative to long
multiplication for number.
Different Way
to compute the
Lattice Method
STEP 1
Let's say you're multiplying
895 times 15.
STEP 2
Split up the smaller number
into tens and ones.
STEP 3

Multiplying the larger number by

the number in the tens digit.
STEP 4
Multiplying the larger number by
the number in the ones digit.
STEP 5
Add up the two product

of columns and rows.
STEP 2
Align the digit of the
multiplicand with the column
and place it on top of the
table.
STEP 3
Create a diagonal path for
the tables.
STEP 4
Multiply the numbers using
the distributive method.
STEP 5
Start adding the numbers on
the same diagonal paths.
STEP 6
Combine the digits of the
answer
