AS A WAY OF REAVELING

• Comparing the lives of the people before and now will make
anyone realize the changes that happened in the society in
terms of culture, language , rights but more importantly
changes in people way of life due to reveal human conditions.

THE HUMAN CONDITION BEFORE
COMMON ERA
• STONE AGE PERIOD
- The Homo sapiens began to sharpens stones to used in hunting.
• Homo erectus had discovered fire. They have been used it for cooking
through chipping stone without realizing the laws of friction and heat.
Venus
• Venus depicts a rudimentary carving of voluptuous woman out of ivory or
stone.
• There are several figures thought to be ceremonial to honor diety. The initial roster
to primitive gods includes objects they encounter through day –to- day lives that’s
why different tribes have different gods.
• Primitive gods includes elephants and mammoths in their hunting grounds.
Mountain gods to explain wind currents, water gods for a good catch and genetic
god such as the sun.
• The mammoths skin are used for their wooly coat while mammoth’s meat serves as
food for the community to eat.
Metal Age Period

• Ancient people discovered minerals and began forging metal works.


THE HUMAN CONDITION IN THE COMMON ERA

• Earliest case of man-made extinction occurred over 12,000 years ago brought by
hunting and territorial dispute.
THE HOLOCENE EXTINCTION
• ALSO CALLED THE SIXTH EXTINCTION occurred as early as between
100,000 to 200,000 years up to the present.

• It pertains to the ongoing extinction of several species- both flora and fauna – due
to human activity.

• Driven to their primal need to survive leads to extinction.


• Due to battle of resources, war between tribes exist but sooner negotiations
and less bloody method specifically TRADE takes place.
• Humanity became more complex. The primary goal was note merely to
survive, but to live the good life.

• Technology has been instrumental because in searching for a good


life, people were able to come up with creation that would make life
easier, more comfortable and enriching.

• The humans of today are much better off compared to humans


several centuries ago. Advancement in medicine, technology, health,
and education ushered in humanity’s best yet, and show no sign of
stopping.
Some notable comparisons then and now:
1. MORTALITY RATE - due to technology, lesser women and children die
during birth.
2. AVERAGE LIFESPAN – science is able to prolong lives and the
distribution of medicine is also made easier and faster
3. LITERACY RATE – access to education provided to more individuals
generally creates a more informed public.
4. GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT – higher country is brought upon by
high productivity, often an indicator of presence of technology.
