ADDITION OF WAVE

The addition of these waves was accomplished for each


instant in time by adding the amplitudes of the waves alge
braically ,at each value of x,to obtain the resultant wave.
The are two additional ways to add waves of the same
frequency that are sometimes easier to apply to a general
three –dimensional wave.
We will demontrate the three approaches by applying
them to the addition of two or more scalar plane waves of
the form
