Education (PASBE)”

- is an accreditation process that looks into


the operation of public and private
elementary and secondary schools if they
meet the quality standards as established
by stakeholders of basic education.

E. OPERATIONAL FRAMEWORK
To be accredited,
A school must show sufficient and
compelling evidence that is achieving its
avowed purposes, conforming with the
PASBE STANDARDS, and implementing the
recommendations of the National
Accreditation Board (NAB).

ACCREDITATION PROCESS
1. Application. Submission of application
shall be every July to August of the
current school year.
2. NAB Approval of the Application.
NOA shall indicate the NAB’s approval of
the school’s candidacy.
3. Accreditation Visit. 2 days
- Orientation of the stakeholders, validation
of the paper, and exit conference.
TheSBM assessment rubric shall
be the ONLY tool to guide the
assessment process and
determine the level of SBM
practice.

Community- Centered Education System.
 The four principles were assigned percentage weight on the
basis of their relative importance:

Leadership and Governance - 30%


Curriculum and Learning - 30%
Accountability and Continuous Improvement - 25%
Management of Resources - 15%
Description of SBM levels of Practice
Level 1. DEVELOPING
Developing structures and mechanism with acceptable level and
extent of community participation and impact on learning outcomes

Level 2. MATURING
Introducing and sustaining continuous improvement process that
integrates wider community participation and improve significantly
performance and learning outcome.

Level 3. ADVANCED (ACCREDITED LEVEL)


Ensuring the production of intended outputs and meeting all the standards
of system fully integrated in the local community and is self-renewing and self-
sustaining.
