1.1 BACKGROUND

BACKGROUND OF THE TITLE REPORT


When i was given opportunity to do practice industry in
International Airport Hang Nadim Batam exactly in Sriwijaya
Air Company , i’ve been learned to be a Pasasi (Passenger
Service). Pasenger Service (PASASI) is a group/individual
tasked to handle passengers who will board to the plane began
from Check In – until Baggage Claim (Lose and Found).
Duties of Pasasi is to assist the process :

-Check In Passenger
-Boarding Gate (Sweeping Baggage , Boarding)
-Claim Baggage (Lose and Found)
A. COMPANNY HISTORY

Sriwijaya Air history that stands on 10 November 2003 in


Jakarta. Founded by Chandra Lie, Lie Johannes Bunjamin Hendry,
and Andy Halim. Some of the experts who contributed to the
founding of Sriwijaya Air pioneers include Supardi, Capt. Kusnadi,
Capt. Adil W, Capt. Harwick L, Gabriella, Suwarsono and Joko
Widodo.
Sriwijaya Air started its business with only one Boeing 737-200
aircraft.
Until now, Sriwijaya Air adding fleet and route flight.
Sriwijaya Air has had a fleet of 29 Aircraft , 36 route domestic.
From Batam , Sriwijaya Air only have 3 Flight , BTH-KNO/BTH-
NTX(MON,WED,SAT) , BTH-DJB, BTH-CGK.
If passenger have a transit , the center in Jakarta , for example:
BTH-CGK-UPG / BTH-CGK-TKG
The mean of the logo Sriwijaya Air is
RU-YI Chiness Language , the mean is ‘what
we want to be sure , to be achieved.

~The colour of White symbolizes , all employed in Sriwijaya


Air must have pure heart.
~The colour of Blue symbolizes , Desire for traveling to all
corner in Indonesia.
~The colour of Red symbolizes , Sriwijaya Leaders and
Employees must be brave and wisdom to taking a decisions and
resolve problems.
~The text Sriwijaya Air symbolizes , Sriwijaya Air must be a
big company and famous , like Sriwijaya kingdom whose name is
etched in the story of Indonesia

-District Manager ; district manager Sriwijaya Air in Batam is


Mr. Lo Yudi Asmond Heryanto , Served as a leader in Sriwijaya Air
Company Distric in Batam , oversees and responsible to the central
office of Sriwijaya Air Company in Jakarta.

-Station Manager ; Station Manager Sriwijaya Air in Batam is


Mr. Dedy Zulkarnain , the duty is directly oversees activity work
employees in Airport Hang Nadim Batam.

-Human Resource Departement ; HRD Sriwijaya Air in Batam


is Mrs. Maulina Danny , the duty of HRD is to help fulfill needs of
employees , improve the quality of employes.

-Ticketing and Reservation Supervisior , T&R Supervisior in
Sriwijaya Air Distric Batam is Mr. Febian Indra Bayu, the duties are
oversee of the activity Reservation and Ticketing in company.

-Accounting Leader , Accounting Leader in Sriwijaya is Mrs.


Reny Meilia, the duties is , taking care about company finance

-Floops/FOO (Flight Operation Office) , Floops/FOO in


Sriwijaya Air BTH are Mr. M. Alfian and Mr. Irwan Setyadi , the
duties is responsible for mannaging operational flight in Airport.

-Check-In Leader , Check-In leader in Sriwijaya BTH is Mr.


Hijrah Amrullah , the duties is be resposibility for the employees in
Service Check-In counter include , boarding pass , over baggage.

-Reservation Leader , Reservation Leader in Sriwijaya BTH is


Mr.Ginda Wira Dharma , the duties is be responsibility of the
performance employees in Reservation Ticket service
-Ticketing Leader , Ticketing Leader in Sriwijaya
is Mrs. Rosdiana , the duties is be responsibility all staff
in section Ticketing.

-Sales Marketing , Marketing Sriwijaya Air in


Batam are , Mrs. Deby Mariana and Mr. Faifmen Anuar.
The duties is be responsible ticket sales in Travel Agent
with the company Sriwijaya.
1.2 Limit Problem

Limitation Problem is made to easier presentation of the report,


and make reports to be directed and focused on a report that
will be conveyed.
-Place Limitation Problem : Hang Nadim International
Airport Batam.
-Time Limit : from date of 1 July 2014 until 31
October 2014
