CHARACTERISTICS OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
Language elements Descriptive Text Noun: Using specific nouns, such as my cat, my boyfriend, National Monument, besides, often
using adjectives to clarify the use of nouns or nouns, such as a big house, a smart student, an independence woman . Simple present
tense: using basic or first form verbs (verb 1) and using verbs that can indicate ownership or state of an object. Descriptive text uses
simple present tense because the descriptive text tells a fact of the object described. For example My office has 22 floors, Azka is
pretty, and others. Action verbs: Use verbs that indicate an activity or an activity that can be seen. For example, sleep, walk, sing,
dance, etc. Figurative language: Using language that is figurative or describes something, Usually uses a metaphor to provide
illustrations to the reader. For example: My love for you is as big as the ocean. - My love for you is as large as the ocean. Her skin as
white as the snow - Her skin is as white as snow.

I went to the zoo yesterday and I saw panda for the first time.
Panda is the very cute animal I've ever seen. It has little eyes
with black spots around them. His body is black and white
colored. Panda's body is almost look alike with bear. Panda
looks like tame animals but it's actually not. Panda eats
bamboo and they almost eat 40 kg bamboo in just one day.
Panda is animal from china. I like Panda because they're cute.
