Coordinating conjunction
Coordinating conjunction is conjunction that has the same syntatic (rules
in making sentences ), example :
- for (untuk) :use to show something
Example sentences : I made bread for your arrival. (Because of)
- and (dan) : for additional sentences and to connect 2 words that have
explanation of the previous word.
Example sentences : Ayudia learning english and she enjoys playing gadget.
- nor (dan tidak) : use to determine whether or not both in sentences.
Example sentences: Mariska doesn’t enjoy learning physics, nor does he
enjoy playing game online. (negative sentences)
Coordinating conjunction
- But (tetapi) : for sentences that have opposite differences.
Example sentences : Yunanda enjoys learning korean, but she doens’t like
playing game online.
- Or ( atau) : to choice option.
Example sentences : next month I will go to my hometown, or I may just stay in
Jakarta.
- Yet (namun) : use when talking about something that is predicted to happen.
Usually appears at the end of the sentences.
Example sentences : I haven’t finished it yet I’ll do it after dinner.
- So (begitu): to strengthen an adjective or noun.
Example sentences : your meal is so delicious.
From some examples conjunction can be known as “FANBOYS”
Correlative conjunction

Correlative conjunction is a pair of conjunctions that harmonize two


items, correlative conjuntion always join grammatically equal elements,
example :
- Either..or (baik..atau/juga) : is a paired conjunction or correlative
conjunction, which is a conjunction thet always pairs in english. Either pairs
with or and this cannot be separated.(either + noun +or + plural noun +
plural verb )( either + noun +or + singular noun + singular verb )
Example sentences : * plural sentences ( either my sister or the twins are
using the laptop right now) verb + ing
* Singular sentences ( either the twins or kate sweeps the floor today ) verb + s
Correlative conjunction
- neither..nor( tidak juga) : is a paired conjunction or corralative conjunction,
which is a conjunction thar always pairs in english. Neither paired with nor,
and this can’t be separated.
Example sentences : * plural sentences (neither my sister nor the twins are
using the laptop right now.)
*singular sentences ( neither the twins nor kate sweeps the floor today)
- Not only..but also (tidak hanya.. tetapi juga) :is one form of correlative
conjunction. The uniqueness of this conjunctions is that when we use this
conjunction, we need other conjunction so that two conjunction are
produced which are paired together.but both clauses must be the same.
Example sentences : not only tini but also nick sweeps the floor.
Correlative conjunction

- Whether..or(apakah atau) : use to introduce an indirect question or a


clause after a verb expressing or implying doubt or choice in order to.
Example sentences : I don’t know whether she will come or not.
- both..and (keduanya) :If you make a sentences after both use noun/
noun then after the conjunctive word and must use the word and must
use the word noun, it has the same gramatical. but both clauses must
be the same.
Example sentences :both tina and andi don’t like to watch horror
movies.
subordinating conjunction
Subordinating conjunction are essential parts of complex
sentences with include at least two clauses, with one of the
clauses being subordinate (dependent).example :
( Based on the time )
- After (sesudah) : After i changed the APN, i unpluged my modem
and waited fro 5 minute.
- As soon as (segera setelah) : As soon as/once they finish filling the
questionnaire, iwill process the data.
- Since (sejak) : Since the boy bought a playstation, he forget to
study.
subordinating conjunction

( Based on the place )


• Wherever (dimanapun) : we should be polite and pleasant
wherever we live.
( Based on the contrast )
• Altough,even tough,though (meskipun) : she goes forward such
a tank altough/even though/though many friends confronts
her ambition.
• Even if (kalaupun) : even if bima is not qualified enough to
enter the top university. He’ll try again next year .
