The endocrine system is a ductless glandular control

system that produces hormones that circulate in the body

through the bloodstream to affect other organs. The hormone
acts as a "messenger" and is carried by the bloodstream to
various cells in the body, which in turn translates the
"message" into action. The endocrine system does not
include exocrine glands such as salivary glands, sweat
glands, and other glands in the gastrointestinal tract. (Green,

Endocrine glands are a group of cell structures that have
