Renting an Instrument If you rent an instrument, it will be yours from fall until summer. The instrument is yours to keep and to bring home as you wish. If you happen to damage your instrument by accident, it will be repaired for free (with some restrictions) This will vary in price depending on the instrument that you choose: ◦ Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet: $162.72 ◦ Alto Saxophone: $315.27 ◦ Baritone: $366.12 ◦ Tenor Saxophone: $386.46 Using a School Instrument If you wish to use a school instrument instead, we do have a number of school instruments that are available for student use. These instruments may be shared with the other band class and you may be responsible for some personal items that cannot be shared – but nothing is guaranteed! The school has: 7 Flutes 8 Clarinets 3 Trombones 1 Alto Saxophone 1 Tenor Saxophone 6 Trumpets Snare Drum/Bells Instrumentation Investigation To help you make a better choice you are going to be going around to each instrument station, and getting up close with some of the instrument choices that will be offered. Answer the station questions as you go around, and make personal notes for the instruments that you may want to try.
