Nowadays researchers all over the world are investigating effective ways of utilization
of industrial wastes such as fly ash, red mud foundry sand in production of building
components and manufacturing those bricks in effective way by the help of brick
manufacturing machine.

Using fly ash in brick making appears to improve the optimum strength of the brick. The
optimum strength could be achieved by reducing the percentage of cement to some degree.

Since fly ash is an industrial waste, it is believed that the cost of the brick will be
reduced.
No construction is possible without bricks. Since many centuries brick making has
been practiced by human beings. Presently, bricks are easily made by using machines
using new technology.

The focus of these project is on the fabrication of brick manufacturing machine and
manufacturing of fly ash bricks
TITLE AUTHORS YEAR DESCRIPTION OF WORK
1)PLC based automatic fly Singh B. and Kumar A. 2016 There are so many methods for moulding of bricks, but they have
ash brick machine. used only hydrolic compression .the pressing machine has 3 sets
of brick moulds which are 120 degree apart from each other.one
sets of mould receive the mixture than it is compressed and finally
two bricks are made in one revolution of this machine.
2)Low cost brick making Panigrahi S., 2008 They describe about low cost bricks using fly ash which were used
machine for producing Parasuram K., in the rural areas at Bostswana.

3) Manufacturing of bricks in Shakir A., 2012 A number of studies has taken serious steps in manufacturing
the past, in the present and Mohammed A. bricks from several of waste materials. However, the traditional
in the future. A state at the mean of bricks production which has brought hazardous impacts
art review. to the context has not yet been changed. They aimed to compile
this state of art work of manufacturing bricks in the past and the
current trend in the brick industry with respect to raw materials.
This paper is an attempt to fill the gap of the past studies and
suggest more sustainable method of brick manufacturing in the
future.

4)Fabrication of plastic Mohan C., Mathew J., 2013 They used plastic scrap for construction of bricks.
brick manufacturing Kurian J. and Moolayi J. They chopped the plastic into small pieces and heat
machine and brick was supplied from below and m- sand was added
analysis. to it with suitsble proportions. The mixed is
proportions was pouredninto a rectangular mould
with standard brick dimension. The paste took only
20 mins to settle and harden. After hardening of
cement test was done and result showed that
plastic composition brick was efficient thantic clay
brick and cement brick. They fabricated a separate
machine for such type of bricks.
The main objective of this project is to fabricate a fly
ash brick making machine with new features and simplifying the
machine for one man operation in order to reduce operational cost
and maximizes the production rate. Further more the purpose of
this machine is to produce the fly ash bricks making machine.
The scope of the project is clearly define the specific field of the
research and ensure that the entire content of the thesis is confined
the scope. This project is start with the literature review on the product
specification in order to satisfy the project objectives .

Project will focus fabrication of automated hydraulic flyash brick

manufacturing machine.

Machine design.
The scope of work can be described in terms of flow
chart as per the figure.
