• The time to compute the cost of
planting, caring, harvesting and
marketing of the crops is after
they have been sold in the
market.
• Then the amount earned from
selling and the profit earned are
computed next. The following
steps should be done.
1. Make a list of all the expenses incurred in
the preparation.
2. List down expenses such as the cost of
labor, equipment, and etc.

Example : A. Preparation

-Seedlings Php 600.00


-Containers 300.00
-Equipment and Tools 350.00
-Fertilizers and others 250.00
-Wages 600.00

TOTAL Php 2,100.00


3. List down also the expenses in marketing,
storing and transporting of products to the
market.

Example:
B. Harvesting, Storing and Marketing

-Sales/Wages Php 1,000.00


-Containers 400.00
-Equipment and Tools 400.00
-Transport 600.00

TOTAL Php 2,400.00


4. Total all the expenses.

Example:

A. Preparation ……………………………… P 2,100.00


B. Harvesting, Storing and Marketing …. P 2,400.00

TOTAL Php 4,500.00


5. Make a total of the amount earned in
selling the products.
6. Deduct the total expenses from the total
income.
Example:

Total Income : 9,200.00


Total Expenses : 4,500.00

- 4,500.00
Cabbage – 2,000.00
Broccoli – 4,200.00
Php 4,700.00
TOTAL: Php 9,200.00
Note: The remaining amount
is the profit earned
