WHY DO YOU DO, WHAT

YOU ARE DOING?

2 CORINTHIANS 5:14

14 For Christ’s love compels us,

because we are convinced that one
died for all, and therefore all died.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:15

15 And he died for all, that those who

live should no longer live for
themselves but for him who died for
them and was raised again.
WHY DO YOU BELIEVE,
WHAT YOU BELIEVE?
ATTRIBUTES OF TRUTH

1. Truth is not truth because the majority of people believes it.

2. Truth does not cease to exist because you refuse to believe it.

3. Truth does not depend on our feelings.

4. Truth must correspond with facts.

5. Truth is narrow and exclusive.

THINK CRITICALLY

Two contradictory or opposite truth

claims cannot both be true at the same
time and in the same sense.
JOHN 14:6

6 Jesusanswered, “I am the way and the

truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.
2 MOST IMPORTANT
QUESTIONS OF OUR LIVES
ACTS 22:3-4

3 “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up

in this city. I studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly
trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as
zealous for God as any of you are today. 4 I
persecuted the followers of this Way to their death,
arresting both men and women and throwing them into
prison,
ACTS 26:9, 11

9 “I
too was convinced that I ought to do all that was
possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

11 Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to

have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. I
was so obsessed with persecuting them that I even hunted them
down in foreign cities.
ACTS 22:6-7

6 “About noon as I came near Damascus,

suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed
around me. 7 I fell to the ground and heard a
voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute
me?’

ACTS 22:8-9

8 “‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked.

“ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are
persecuting,’ he replied. 9 My companions saw the
light, but they did not understand the voice of
him who was speaking to me.

QUESTION NO. 1

WHO ARE YOU LORD?

FOR PAUL IT WAS JESUS

1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-5

3 Forwhat I received I passed on to you as of first

importance: that Christ died for our sins according to
the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was
raised on the third day according to the
Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and
then to the Twelve.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:6

6 After that, he appeared to more than five

hundred of the brothers and sisters at the
same time, most of whom are still living,
though some have fallen asleep.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:7-8

7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the

apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to
me also, as to one abnormally born.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:9-10

9 For I am the least of the apostles and do not

even deserve to be called an apostle, because I
persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the
grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to
me was not without effect. No, I worked harder
than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of
God that was with me.
