NOTES- Delete this page!
You must research on TWO different sensors.
Submission:
Submit a hard copy; no more than 12 slides. You MUST print 6 slides on a single sheet.
Make sure they are readable. Include only useful information. DO not submit more
than two sheets of paper.
You must also submit an electronic version to the discussion group
The file name should be:
YOUR-NAME_SENSOR-NAME_SENSOR2-NAME.doc
Example: CHRIS_SMOKE_WATER-LEVEL.doc
Please share your ideas on the discussion group and each student should try
writing about a DIFFERENT sensor
Do not include very typical sensors such as temperature or photodiodes. HERE are
some of the good examples: Pressure, accelerator, PH, optical, humidity,
elevation, water level, shock and vibration, position, ultrasonic, etc. You can use:

and many more…
Sensor Name -
Description and picture
What is it?
What is it good for
How is it built
Different technologies used to build this sensor
DO NOT JUST COPY AND PASTE!
Technical Spec
Describe inputs and output signals
What is the precision
Does it require external power supply
Cost of the sensor
Internal description of the sensor
Etc.
Applications
List some of the typical applications
Add some figures
Explain if you are using them in your project
Interface
Show how this sensor can be interfaced with
your PIC
Explain what kind of interface do you need in
order to interconnect it to the PIC
You must include a figure (USE VISIO)
References
List some of the MAIN references you used
You must explain what this reference is used
for – TWO lines per reference
