Meaning
An opinion is a judgment or belief
about somebody or something which is
not based on knowledge.
Giving opinion is stating something
which believed based on the observation.
It means there is a reason behind the
opinion.
Social Function
The social function of
asking and giving opinion is to
keep interpersonal
relationship between the
speakers.
Structure
A. Personal point of view

I think that our city is not enough famous.

I believe that our city will be famous soon.

I suppose it’s already too late to get in to the class.

- Do you have any idea ? - As far as I’m concerned …
We can accept or refuse the opinion. When refusing or disagreeing an
opinion, we should do it in a polite way. The following are the responses of
giving opinion.

- I agree with you opinion. - I’m sorry, I don’t agree with you
- I think so, too - I don’t think so
- That’s a good point - I disagree
- That’s exactly what I think - I don’t believe that
- I don’t have any objections - You maybe right, but …

Brenda : “Hello, Apta. Good morning!”
Apta : “Hi, Brenda. Good morning too!”
Brenda : “Apta do you know Sando?
Apta : “Of course I know. He is one of the
most beautiful voice in our class. Isn’t he?
Brenda : “Hmmm, I don’t think so”
Apta : “Sssssttt, don’t talk too loud”
Brenda : “okey okeyyy”
Apta : “Anyway, sometimes he makes us laugh”
