• Grammar definition is a collection of rules about the grammatical structure
of language. This collection of rules is commonly known as grammar.
 In English, grammar consists of 8 parts
• 1. Pronoun (pronoun)
• Pronouns are words used to replace nouns in the form of people or objects.
Examples of pronouns are I, me, mine, and myself.
• 2. Noun (noun)
• Nouns are words used to name people, objects, places, animals, or abstract
concepts. Examples are student, Jakarta, table, paint, and hapiness.
• 3. Verb (kata kerja)
• A verb is a word to indicate an action taken by a subject, event, or situation.
Examples are go, went, and gone.
• 4. Adjective (kata sifat)
• Adjectives are words that have functions to describe nouns or pronouns.
Examples of adjectives are easy, excited, and satisfying.
• 5. Adverb (kata keterangan)
• Adverbs are words to describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Examples
are carefully, fast, and very.
• 6. Determiner
• Determiner is a word or group of words placed in front of a noun to limit
the meaning of the noun. Examples of determinants are the, a, an, some,
any, and so on.
• 7. Preposistion (kata depan)
• Prepositions or prepositions are words or groups of words that are generally
placed in front of nouns or pronouns to indicate the relationship of
location, direction, or time to the noun. Examples of prepositions are at, in,
and on.
• 8. Conjunction (kata hubung)
• Hyphen / conjunction is a word that connects words, clauses, kaimat, or
paragraphs. Examples are and, because, and or.

• 2. Noun (kata benda)
• Kata benda adalah kata yang digunakan untuk menamai orang, benda,
tempat, hewan, atau konsep abstrak. Contohnya adalah student, Jakarta,
table, cat, dan hapiness. atau benda. Contoh kata ganti adalah I, me, mine,
dan myself.

• Kata keterangan adalah kata untuk mendeskripsikan kata kerja, kata sifat,
atau kata keterangan lain. Contohnya adalah carefully, fast, dan very.
• 6. Determiner
• Determiner adalah kata atau kelompok kata yang ditempatkan di depan kata
benda untuk membatasi makna kata benda tersebut. Contoh determiner
adalah the, a, an, some, any, dan sebagainya.

• Kata depan atau preposisi adalah kata atau kelompok kata yang umumnya
diletakkan di depan kata benda atau kata ganti untuk menunjukkan hubungan
letak, arah, atau waktu dengan kata benda tersebut. Contoh kata depan
adalah at, in, dan on.
