Biography

 John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29,1917


in Massachusetts and was a son to Joseph Patrick
Kennedy and his mother was Rose Fitzgerald .
 Kennedy was graduated from Harvard university in
1940 and joined navy in 1941.
 Kennedy as a skipper of a PT-109 boat was sunk in
pacific by Japanese destroyer but bravely swam to
safe island towing an injured crew member.
 Kennedy entered politics in 1946 as a congress men
and in 1957 defeated opponent senator Henry Cabot
and won for US senate.

 Kennedy was married on sept. 12,1953 to Jacqueline
lee bouvier by whom he had three children : Caroline
,john Fitzgerald jr. and Patrick bouvier(died in
infancy).
 In 1957 Kennedy won the Pulitzer prize for a book
he had written named “profiles in courage” written
in 1956.
 Kennedy won the democratic presidential election
on the first ballot at 1960 los Angeles convection by
only 118574 votes as the first roman catholic
president.
 Kennedy bought the dynamic idea of a new frontier
approach in dealing with problems at home, abroad
and dimension of space.

 Kennedy formed the 10 year alliance for progress to
aid Latin America ,peace corps and accelerated
programs to bring in to orbit in the race in space.
 Due to communist backed Castro regime only 90
miles of united states soil, of fear of soviet
offensive missiles installed in Cuba Kennedy
ordered a navel quarantine of the island.
 In order to avoid any any possibilities of war with
the soviet union they signed limited test-ban treaty
in Moscow on aug 6,1963 .
 Kennedy’s domestic proposals consisted of
medical care for the aged ,expanding area under
redevelopment were defeated but minimum wages,
trade legislation and other measures won .

Widespread racial disorders and demonstration
led to Kennedy's proposing sweeping civil
rights legislation .
He also recommended $11-billion tax cut to
booster the economy.
While riding in Dallas on nov.22,1963,he was
shot to death by an assassin lee Harvey who in
turn was shot dead in Dallas city jail by jack
ruby a strip club owner.
Kennedy was the youngest president after
Roosevelt and the forth president to be
assassinated and eight to die in office.

Short summary of Kennedy’s
political career
In 1946, Kennedy's political career started as
U.S. Representative .
In 1958, Kennedy was re-elected to a second
term in the United States Senate, defeating,
Boston lawyer Vincent J. Celeste, by a wide
margin.
John F. Kennedy was sworn in as the 35th
President at noon on January 20, 1961.
 The Cuban Missile Crisis began on October 14, 1962.

He ambitiously promised federal funding for
education, medical care for the elderly,
economic aid to rural regions, and government
intervention to halt the recession.
Kennedy also promised an end to Racial
discrimination
Kennedy ended a period of tight fiscal policies

the goal for landing a man on the Moon in

Oswald's embrace of communism, his strong
belief in Castro and the Cuban revolution and a
