1. KNOW ABOUT THE SECTION IN THE CABIN
Basic Parts of Excavator Controls:
a. Lever / Panel on the Right: To operate the bucket and
boomIf the lever is pushed forward it will lower the
boomIf the lever is pulled back it will raise the boomIf
the lever is shifted to the left, it closes the bucketIf the
lever is shifted to the right, it will open the bucket
b. b. Lever / Panel on the Left: To operate the direction
of the cabin and armIf the lever is pushed forward it
will lower the armIf the lever is pulled back it will raise
the armIf the lever is shifted left it will move the cabin
to the leftIf the lever is shifted to the right it will shift the
cabin to the right
• c. Lock / Shut-Off Lever (usually on the far left): To lock the excavator
lever / panelIf the lever is pulled up it will lock all excavator activityIf the
lever is pushed down, the excavator can be operated again
• d. Lever / Pedal Track left and right (in front): For forward / backward
and turn the excavator trackIf the two levers are pulled together
backwards the excavator will advanceIf the two levers are pulled
together simultaneously the excavator will reverseIf the right lever is
pulled back, the excavator will turn leftIf the left lever is pulled back, the
excavator will turn right
