INTRODUCTION

• Big Bazaar is a part of Future Group Founded in 2001.


• Big Bazaar is one of the oldest hypermarket chains that houses around
250+ stores in the country.
• Big Bazaar offers a wide range of merchandise including fashion and
apparels, food products, general merchandise, furniture, electronics, books,
fast food and leisure and entertainment sections.
ABOUT THE STORE AT HUBLI
• It was started in the year of 2007 on 28th July.
• It operates in 60,000 square feet in Hubli selling almost every household
item at one place and it has plans to expand its product portfolio.
• The store Manager of Big Bazaar is Channu Patil.
• The management consists of
• 80 well-qualified employees.
• The Security system includes 15 securities regular [Day-12, Night-3] &
18 at the weekend.
• 25 Back staff.
• 21 Housekeeping and 15 Part Timers

• Actual site of the store is Sky Mall, Gokul Road, (near Akshay Park),
Hubli, Karnataka – 580030
• Total Area of the store is 60,000sq. ft – in that the carpet area is 53,000sq.
ft and 7000sq.ft is for parking area.
• It is exactly placed at the left end of the Gokul road when you come from
Channamma circle.

• The tag line is “Is se sasta aur accha aur khani nahi “.
• High to Low:In Big Bazaar, they use high to low pricing strategy. Usually they provide 20-
30% discount on MRP price for the products during offer season like festivals etc. After
certain period of time they sell the products on MRP price.
